This work is based on research related to a major volcanic eruption that occurred on the Westman Islands in Iceland in 1973. Ways of evacuating from an outbreak are being communicated to those living in the endangered regions, but even if people manage to get away without physical damage, is it possible for them to avoid suffering mental damage? Is there any disaster drill for the mind? Through discussions with a clinical psychologist, Yamada worked out evacuation orders for the mind as additional notes to existing evacuation orders. In Instructions, these additional instructions are superimposed on recollections of a past eruption.
