Outreach is an assembly of images that captures attempts to represent natural disasters, including outreach experiments at Disaster Prevention Research Institute, educational products and science activities for children. Yamada gathered those represented phenomena as “proxy for disaster experience”, considering that is the way for people living on precarious lands to prepare themselves and next generations for future threats.

Shown as two-channel video installation, represented natural phenomena in various scales reverberate, oscillating between entertaining activities to full-scale experiments that alarm the viewers.
