Swing-by

Swing-by is a series of installations at a group show held at several vacant rooms in a building in Tokyo.

Since noticing every room had a kitchen sink, Yamada installed a series of photographs of “skipping stones” at each sink. Kitchen sink makes visitor’s gazes down and focus on what on it as if it was a stage. Associated with the structure of water pipes connecting these sinks to every room of the building, the sinks appears as chained stages for the installation of “skipping stones” images.
