On two monitors facing each other, actors appearing in each screen toss a ball back and forth while questioning the idea of a “neighbor.” The distance between them gradually increases in the video, eventually exceeding the range of a game of catch, yet they continue to pose their questions.

The video was filmed in Higashinada Ward and Nada Ward in Kobe, aread affected by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in 1995. As the distance between the actors grows, one ascends toward the mountains, the other descends toward the sea.
